RLO Training
Vocal, Performance and Production Training
Whether it be for fostering audience awareness and
education through lectures and special events, or for providing training through workshops and lessons in the different areas involved in opera and musical
theater, such as voice, acting, stage production, lighting and sound, event coordination and production management, Romanza Lyric Opera is committed to bringing
the highest level of excellence to our community. Therefore, all our workshops, lectures, special events and our training feature highly esteemed professionals in
their field. From outstanding performers and teachers, to production managers and event coordinators that have achieved national and/or international acclaim
for excellence throughout their career.
In offering training we intend not only to further the talents of those interested in a career in opera or musical theater as soloists, set designers, production
managers, etc., but also to increase the interest in these genres in our community by offering children and adults an opportunity to get involved in our
productions as choir members, set designing and construction, production assistance, etc.
Group Voice Lessons
Group lessons are also available for those
that are not interested in a career as a soloist yet love to sing! You could consider joining our chorus for a satisfying and fun alternative in
socializing. Besides,it's a fact that learning to sing is doubly rewarding because singing is an aerobic exercise (yes, singing oxygenates your blood,
and learning a new instrument, like voice, stimulates your brain function... and it's fun).

Performance and Production Training
A musical production has many moving parts that are crucial to its success. Whether it be a full staging of a musical or an opera, or highlights, or a concert, there are many other important players without whom a musical production cannot happen.
Besides the performers themselves, meaning the singers, actors and musicians, there are all the talents and efforts of the people involved in stage direction and management, set design and construction, lighting and sound, costumes, etc.
To that end, we strive to offer workshops, lectures, and hands-on training and experience in production aspects such as lighting and sound, set design and construction, and event marketing and coordination, held by highly esteemed professionals in their field.
We periodically offer these workshops and lectures in different venues in our community, and also as the need arises for a particular production that we may be undertaking.
